The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of residents and communities across Wales. As a Leasehold Officer in Wales’ top housing association, you will provide a high quality, efficient and effective leasehold management service to residents living in our retirement schemes. The schemes area all leasehold and independent living which makes it different. It’s a busy and dynamic role that is challenging and dealing with lots of people from solicitors to residents at a fast pace. Who are we looking for? To succeed in this role, you will have a genuine passion and interest in what we do as an organisation. You will need a demonstrable track record of leasehold and/or home ownership within a housing or similar relevant environment. This role could suit someone from an estate agents background with sales experience or perhaps someone from a conveyancer admin role or someone with current social housing experience who is looking for a move to leasehold with some leasehold knowledge. The right candidate will need to be resilient, organised, customer focused and willing to learn really quickly. To help us deliver an excellent service you will need to show your understanding and knowledge of leasehold procedures We can provide some intensive training, but you need to bring the majority of transferable skills. Ideally we are looking for someone with excellent knowledge and understanding of legal processes such as reading leases, extensions and LPE1 etc for example as well as knowledge of service charge calculations, recovery procedures and Section 20 processes. This coupled with excellent customer service skills and strong oral and written communication skills, working on your initiative to do the right thing for our residents will make you an ideal candidate to join the team. You will need to be a car user with a valid license and able to provide your own vehicle for business use.
