About the role
We have exciting opportunities for 2 Leasehold Officers to join our team on a permanent basis, based in Brock Street, London NW13FG. We currently operate a hybrid working style which consists of 2 days a week in the office and 3 working remotely / from home, Monday - Friday.
The successful applicants will provide a high-quality, regulatory and legally compliant lease management service for a portfolio of homes on estates owned and managed by Managing Agents acting on behalf of a Superior Landlord.
You’ll manage key processes casework, including but not limited to, lease enforcement, permissions, compliance and consents. You will investigate and, if necessary, escalate disputes or instances of non-compliance to Managing Agents or Superior Landlords, as well as provide scrutiny of any formal notices and service charge information they serve upon Guinness.
We are looking for candidates who are excellent communicators and can read and interpret complex land ownership documents, such as leases and freehold transfers. You must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advise and support customers, stakeholder teams, and colleagues with Superior Landlord and Managing Agent issues, and act as a point of escalation when necessary.
What we’re looking for
We’re a customer-focussed organisation so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. So, it’s essential you have great customer service skills, and we are looking for people who have a working knowledge of leasehold legislation, along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate:
Ability to read, interpret, apply, and explain complex title (i.e., leasehold) documents, structures and provisions.
Excellent standard of oral and written communication.
A good understanding of residential leasehold, Shared Ownership and Managing Agents
Experience of providing high levels of Customer Service and meeting a wide range of customers’ expectations.
A good understanding of variable service charge provisions and practices.
Experience of managing a large and varied workload, meeting performance targets.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to plan and work effectively without high levels of supervision.
