The first intake of candidates for IRPM’s new Build-to-Rent PRS qualification gathered at Cluttons offices in London for the pilot launch in January. The Department for Communities and Local Government’s PRS Champion, Mark Davis and FoundationReal’s Tracey Hartley, who was part of DCLG’s PRS Taskforce building momentum in B2R, spoke of the pressing need for a new type of property manager, equipped with the skills to meet the demands of this new sector and its customers. IRPM’s former CEO, Janie Strange, was applauded for her tireless efforts to deliver this course for industry and government.
The pilot has been over-subscribed by a factor of three and a waiting list is growing for the second intake. Look out for the formal launch in Q2 of this year. The two-year online course will be delivered via a new online platform, at ‘irpmlearninghub.org.uk’ supported by a number of live presentations by leading B2R experts. It can be accessed across the full range of electronic devices, including mobile and will lead to a Level 4 qualification and full membership of the IRPM (MIRPM).
The carefully structured programme is designed to furnish the industry with highly qualified, customer-focused B2R property management professionals, fully equipped to offer gold-standard services to a new generation of renters.
