This course and exam covers IRPM’s Four Elements of Professionalism
Course duration is fully flexible to fit the needs of individual learners. Once enrolled, learners will have access to all learning material for 12 months.
After enrolment, every learner will be able to sit the exam every time new exam dates are released throughout the 12 months period. These exam dates will be visible on this page, you will need to login to book your preferred exam date.
All candidates are recommended to book the next exam date after your 12-month access to the course expires. If you DO NOT book the next exam sitting after your 12-month access to the course expires you will be required to pay an additional £110 to sit the exam.
On successful completion of this qualification, members are invited to become Associate members of the Institute and to use the AIRPM designation.

Candidates who are not already members of IRPM will need to join, to benefit their studies from IRPM’s essential bulletins, Technical Updates, IRPM LinkedIn Member Forum and Resource Hub and to agree to the IRPM Code of Conduct that sets professional standards for property professionals and employers. The IRPM syllabus is structured into the following topics:
Learners can join the course at any time. Learning material consists of eleven modules and learners can take an end-of-module test at the end of each one. The course is completed with a final exam, consisting of a one and half hour written exam taken online. The pass mark is 60%.
This is a self-study qualification with final exams taking place twice a year (spring & autumn).

The exam consists of two sections – Part A and Part B
Part A contains 20 short answer questions and candidates are required to answer all the questions. Two marks are awarded for each question and a maximum of 40 marks are awarded for this part of the paper.
Part B contains 8 questions in four sections. Candidates are required to answer three questions of their choice. Each question carries 20 marks and maximum 60 marks are awarded for this part of the paper.
The exam is ‘remotely proctored’, so there is no need to travel to a venue to sit the exam. Instead, candidates will be supervised by an invigilator online. All candidates will be provided with specific instructions and have the opportunity to test the exam system prior to the exam.

IRPM’s Pre-Exam Zoom Revision Workshop is designed to provide intensive final preparation for students studying for the exam, either at work or on their own. The online workshop includes a comprehensive revision of all the elements of the exam with an experienced tutor.
The workshop also provides students with strategies for exam preparation and technique, as well as a variety of sample questions from past exam papers. And workshop handouts, in pdf format, will be provided for further study and revision.
Taking part in the exam preparation workshop is optional, and is available at an additional cost of £99.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations due to illness must be accompanied by a medical certificate to allow the fee to be carried forward to the next available event/exam/workshop. All other cancellations less than ten working days prior to the event (including no-shows) forfeit the fee. Please note this policy is strictly adhered to as places once booked incur costs to the IRPM.
Candidates who book their place at the exam but do not attend without notification to the IRPM forfeit their opportunity to sit the exam. They will be required to book a resit place in order to take the exam. The resit fee is £110.
Candidates are only allowed to defer the exam booking twice.
